Settings & Communications

Configure your business settings, customize email templates, and control how you communicate with your clients.

Settings Overview

Access settings via Settings in the sidebar. Settings are organized into tabs:

  • Account - Your personal details and notifications
  • Business - Company info, communications, billing
  • Integrations - Google, Dropbox, and other connections
  • Data - Import and export your data
  • Developer - API keys for integrations

Business Settings

Company Details

Navigate to Settings → Business → Company to update:

  • Business name and contact info
  • Address for invoices
  • Company logo (appears on emails and property websites)
  • Timezone for scheduling

Billing Settings

Navigate to Settings → Business → Billing to:

  • Connect Stripe for online payments
  • Configure payment terms
  • Set default tax rates

Communications Settings

Navigate to Settings → Business → Communications to control how you interact with clients.

Direct Messaging

Toggle to allow or prevent clients from sending you direct messages through the Messages page.

  • Enabled - Clients can start new conversations
  • Disabled - Clients cannot initiate messages

You can also enable/disable messaging for individual clients in their profile settings.

Listing Comments

Toggle to allow or prevent clients from leaving comments on their listings.

  • Enabled - Clients can comment, request changes, provide feedback
  • Disabled - Clients can only view listings

Email Templates

Customize the automated emails sent to your clients. eMARCOTT sends emails at key moments:

Listing PublishedWhen property website is generated
Listing DeliveredWhen you deliver a listing to client

Customizing Templates

  1. Click on an email type to expand it
  2. Edit the fields:
    • Subject Line - Email subject
    • Greeting Text - Appears after "Hi [Name],"
    • Main Content - The body of the email
    • Closing Text - Your sign-off
  3. Click Save Template

Available Placeholders

Use these placeholders in your email content—they'll be replaced with actual values:

Example Custom Email

Reset to Defaults

Click Reset to Default to revert a template to eMARCOTT's standard text. This only appears if you've customized the template.

Tips

  • Personalize your emails - Custom templates feel more professional
  • Include your phone number for VIP clients
  • Keep it concise - Clients skim emails
  • Test your templates - Create a test order to see the actual email
  • Match your brand voice - Be consistent across all email types
